These areas also provide opportunity for rock climbing – mountain climbing. Historic Manitou Springs boasts “The Incline”, a 1000 step ascent. Attempt at your own risk!
Wildlife adorns the area. Deer are abundant. Other creatures are harder to spot as they typically hide or come out at night.
Colorado Springs hosts the Olympic Training Center, Garden of the Gods, the United States Air Force Academy, Fort Carson, Peterson Air Force Base, Schriever Air Force Base, the Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame and much more! Historic Manitou Springs is a 10 – 15 minute drive along the foothills. Colorado Springs sits at the base of Pikes Peak, a 14,000 foot mountain with access by road or train to the peak.
